I am a social psychologist who specializes in the study of close relationships. I received my PhD in social-personality psychology from the University at Buffalo in 2015 and worked as research fellow at the University of Aberdeen. I am currently a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin. My research examines how people pursue their goals within their relationships.

My research examines questions like the ones below:

When do people connect to their partners and when do they self-protect?
How do romantic partners influence people’s pursuit of their goals?
How do people balance their goals for their romantic relationships and their goals for their other relationships?
How does our partner’s personality influence how we cope with stress?
